ITW's unique process utilizes proprietary tools to inject our patented chemical, Paradiss C-201, into the sludge inside your tank while it is still sealed. A very low proportion of Paradiss C-201 is required and the desired reaction happens quickly. Once exposed to Paradiss C-201 and some low level circulation, the hydrocarbons trapped in the emulsion of the sludge are released and allowed to consolidate with other hydrocarbons. This layer of hydrocarbons is strategically removed and returned to the crude product stream. Once the hydrocarbon is decanted from the tank, the tank is relatively gas free, and you may pump off the water phase of the sludge. The ITW treatment process allows you to minimize the volume of the sludge in your tank by causing clean separations and allowing them to be decanted to alternative storage for further processing.

Upon successful stripping of the water phase the tank is ready to enter for final sludge removal. At this point, the final cleaning stage has been minimized to the inorganic materials inside the tank. This reduces the amount of sludge that needs to be removed from the tank, saving money on labor, and disposal cost, while reducing the exposure of workers to dangerous hydrocarbons.
